Police Memorial Map
Welcome to the Police Memorial Map project; marking where police officers fell whilst on duty - lest we forget.
Take these men and women for your example.
Like them, remember that posterity can only
be for the free; that freedom is the sure
possession of those who have the
courage to defend it.
Established in 2010 the project aims to plot, using interactive mapping, the points where officers have fallen - marking them as "here fell". Not all sites are marked by a permanent physical memorial, we hope to ensure that people never forget the sacrifice made by the men and women who serve us upholding law and order.
We also want to help people find and visit the various police memorials that are sited in the UK; our memorials map allows you to view the locations of the memorials and get directions to them via Google Maps.
The maps are all divided by year and research is continuing to go back as far into history as records will allow. Two special maps have been created to recognise the huge sacrifice and courage of the men and women who donned the uniform of the both the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
